November 2 Menu

Well that can’t be right… November? I guess it IS dark pretty early these days so that tracks….

We’re through the spooky season and barreling towards the holidays when we get home from work (in the dark) and stare at our fridge hoping there is something good to eat. If you’re on my list, there is!

What I’m trying to do for families is give them back time and reduce stress of making multiple meals per week, and instead spending the time on cooking when THEY want to cook. This weeks menu has a little bit of everything.

The rest of the menu is:

Smashed Beef Kebab with Cucumber Yogurt – All the crispy bits of a smash burger wrapped up in a pita with some sweet raisins and walnuts, drizzled with a creamy, garlicy, sweet sauce in a pita.

Baked Ziti – This is a saucy and cheesy based pasta destined to be a favourite in your house. It’s meatless and it freezes pretty well. A pro move is to eat half, freeze the rest for emergency dinners/lunches.

BBQ Chicken – Still warm enough to light the charcoal grill so I’m out there until the snow flies. Juicy, slightly sweet and a bit smoky. Great warmed up, or pulled into pieces and thrown into a salad (even one of those bagged costo ones~!)

Sticky Roasted Carrots – Citrus enhances the sweetness of the carrots and makes them a lovely accompaniment to the BBQ chicken or the Kebab.

Ginger Soy Marinated Shrimp with Slaw – Something a bit lighter to balance out the menu. My kids love shrimp and that combo of ginger/soy always is a hit.

Thanks folks; hit me up using the contact page if you’re interested in getting some meal preperation service as things get busy. Check out this video to see what you get!
